Bayern Munich confirm Neuer injury, expected to be out for three weeks
Bayern Munich confirmed that goalkeeper and team captain Manuel Neuer suffered a torn muscle during his team's 3-0 win over Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on Saturday (February 14). He is expected to be out for at least three weeks.

"FC Bayern will be temporarily without captain Manuel Neuer. This has been confirmed after a thorough examination by the FC Bayern medical team," the club said in a statement on its official website on Sunday.

Although it was not revealed when Neuer would return, BILD reports that the 39-year-old goalkeeper is expected to need up to three weeks of recovery time.

Neuer was withdrawn just before half-time and replaced by 22-year-old goalkeeper Jonas Urbig.
