Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has confirmed he is ready to step down if he feels he is no longer the right person to steer the club in a positive direction.
This statement was made amidst the poor performance that The Magpies are currently experiencing.
"If at any point I feel I can no longer lead the team to progress or provide what the players need, I will step aside and give someone else a chance," Howe said, as reported by beIN Sports on Monday (February 9).
Newcastle are on a downward spiral after suffering three defeats in just seven days last week.
This condition puts them under pressure ahead of the away match against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday (11/2).
Last week's 3-2 defeat to Brentford at St James' Park extended Newcastle's winless run to four consecutive league games.
