Benfica coach Jose Mourinho is wary of Real Madrid, who will appear more dangerous ahead of their rematch against his former club in the 2025/26 Champions League playoff round.
He believes that Los Blancos' dramatic defeat in their previous meeting could actually spur the Spanish giants to revenge.
"We've injured the king of the Champions League. And an injured king is dangerous," said Mourinho, who coached Madrid from 2010 to 2013, as quoted by the BBC on Tuesday.
In a league match held in Lisbon last month, Benfica defeated Madrid 4-2. The winning goal came in a dramatic 98th-minute header from Ukrainian goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin.
