Persipura Jayapura reclaimed the top spot in Group B of the 2025-2026 Liga 2 Championship after securing a convincing 4-1 victory over Barito Putera at Lukas Enembe Stadium in Jayapura Regency, Papua, on Sunday.
Persipura Jayapura's four winning goals were scored by Reno Salampessy in the 45+2 and 62 minutes, Ramai Rumakiek in the 54+4 minutes, and Kelly Sroyer in the 90+2 minutes. Barito's reply was scored by Ferdiansyah in the 74th minute.
"We're grateful today. We got three points, so we can return to the top of the standings," said Persipura Jayapura coach Rahmad Darmawan after the match.
He hopes that all players can maintain this winning momentum well for the next match.
"I hope this doesn't become a disappointment for them (the players), but they can remain focused on the next match," he said.
