PSSI has handed over the formation of the U-17 national team staff to Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto.
The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) confirmed that the appointment of Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto as head coach of the Indonesian U-17 national team was decided by the Executive Committee (Exco), while the composition of assistant coaches will be submitted to Kurniawan to be proposed and determined through the federation mechanism.

This was conveyed by PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi when met by reporters at the Indomilk Arena Stadium, Tangerang Regency, Wednesday.

According to him, PSSI wants to give the new coach space to form a coaching team that is deemed most suitable to the needs of the young Garuda squad.

"Kurniawan will be the coach, and we'll leave it to Kurniawan to find the best assistants. The nominations will be decided by the Executive Committee," he said.

In addition to the appointment mechanism, PSSI also expressed the hope that Kurniawan would be given sufficient time to conduct a thorough evaluation and introduce breakthroughs in the U-17 national team program ahead of the international agenda.
