The Israeli army launches airstrikes and bombs areas in the northern Gaza Strip.
Eyewitnesses noted that Israeli warplanes and artillery targeted the Sheikh Zayed area east of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, coinciding with heavy gunfire from military helicopters in the area's airspace.

This comes as part of Israel’s continued violations of the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, 2025.

Residents reported hearing explosions in various areas of the northern Gaza Strip, within areas controlled by the Israeli occupation army.

The so-called "yellow line" separates the areas where the Israeli occupation army is deployed, which amount to about 53 percent of the area of the Gaza Strip to the east, from the areas where Palestinians are allowed to move to the west.

In contrast, Channel 12 Hebrew claimed, quoting its military correspondent, that the Israeli occupation army had spotted 5 fighters emerging from a tunnel opening in the Beit Hanoun area.

The channel added that "the forces dealt with them (referring to targeting them), while initial estimates indicate that 4 of them were killed, with the operation continuing at the site."

No details were given regarding the identity of the fighters or the group they belong to, and no statement was issued by the occupation army regarding the incident.

Since the agreement came into effect, the Israeli occupation army has committed hundreds of violations of the ceasefire agreement, resulting, as of Wednesday, in the martyrdom of about 591 people and the injury of 1,598 others.

The ceasefire agreement ended a genocidal war that Israel began on October 8, 2023, and lasted for two years, leaving more than 72,000 Palestinian martyrs and more than 171,000 wounded, and massive destruction affecting 90 percent of the civilian infrastructure, with reconstruction costs estimated by the United Nations at about $70 billion.
