Indonesian Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, views affiliate marketing as a potential career opportunity that can be an alternative source of income in the digital era.
He conveyed this when opening the Shopee Affiliate Training of Trainers (ToT) program at the Bekasi Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BBPVP), Wednesday (11/2).
According to him, along with the development of the digital economy and changes in work patterns, platform-based job opportunities are becoming increasingly relevant for various levels of society, especially the younger generation.
"Digital work like affiliate marketing is flexible, can be done with just the tools people already have, and relies on creativity. This is an opportunity we must respond to adaptively," Yassierli said in his remarks.
Through the Shopee Affiliate ToT program, the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) aims to strengthen the capacity of instructors at Regional Technical Implementation Units (UPTD) and vocational training centers to enable them to impart these skills to the wider community.
He stated that if 100 Ministry of Manpower instructors from various UPTDs in Indonesia could operate consistently and each train around 600 people by the end of this year, the potential training reach could reach up to 60,000 people by 2026.
