Against Leverkusen, Arsenal's attack must be sharper

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said his team's attack must be sharper to defeat Bayer
Leverkusen in the second leg of the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League round of 16 at the Emirates Stadium.

"In the previous match, we missed several chances. Furthermore, we were also weak in anticipating our opponents' counterattacks. We need to improve, including in threatening our opponents and making decisions on the pitch," said Arteta, as quoted on Arsenal's.

Arteta doesn't want his squad to repeat what happened in the first leg, which ended in a 1-1 draw. That time, Arsenal only managed a penalty. However, according to UEFA statistics, they had eight shots throughout the match, two of which were on target.
