Agent denies rumors of Erling Haaland's move to Barcelona
Erling Haaland's agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has denied claims that there have been talks regarding a possible move for the Manchester City striker to Barcelona.

Previously, Barcelona presidential candidate Victor Font revealed that they were negotiating a "preferential option" to sign Haaland should the player ever decide to leave Manchester City.

However, Pimenta confirmed that there has never been any contact with Barcelona regarding a transfer for the Norwegian international striker. She also emphasized that Haaland is currently very happy at Manchester City after extending his contract until 2034.

"We have great respect and admiration for Barcelona, but there has been no contact regarding a possible transfer," Pimenta.

"Haaland just renewed his contract a few months ago and he is very happy at Manchester City. Everything is going very well for him, and there is no need to talk about a transfer when everything is going so well at City," he continued.

Meanwhile, Victor Font previously admitted that signing Haaland was unlikely in the near future.

However, he is optimistic about securing the opportunity to sign the striker if he is elected Barcelona president in Sunday's election, where he will face incumbent Joan Laporta.
