Among them were 8 policemen... 12 Palestinians martyred in an Israeli bombing of a vehicle and a house in the Gaza Strip

The ministry said in a statement that "Colonel Iyad Abu Yousef, the director of the Intervention and Public Order Police in the Central Governorate, was martyred along with 7 officers and personnel, as a result of a bombing by Israeli occupation aircraft that targeted their vehicle on Salah al-Din Street near the entrance to the town of al-Zawaida."

Medical sources reported that the bodies of 8 Palestinians arrived at hospitals as a result of the Israeli bombing that targeted them in the central Gaza Strip.

In this context, four Palestinians, including two children, were killed in an Israeli air strike that targeted a house in the central Gaza Strip, continuing the daily violations of the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since last October.

Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli drone targeted a house in the Al-Sawarha area in the central Gaza Strip. The bombing resulted in the death of four Palestinians, including two children, according to medical sources.

The areas targeted by the Israeli occupation army are outside its control in the sector, where it still occupies more than 50% of the sector's area.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that five Palestinians were killed in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of victims of the genocide committed by Israel since October 2023 to 72,239 martyrs.

This came in a daily statistical statement issued by the ministry, in which it said that hospitals in the sector received about 5 martyrs, in addition to 8 wounded, during the past 24 hours.

The ministry reported that the death toll from Israeli violations of the agreement since last October has risen to 663 martyrs and 1,762 wounded. The ministry thus indicated that the total number of victims of Israeli aggression since October 2023 has reached 72,239 martyrs and 171,861 wounded.

The agreement was reached two years after a genocidal war launched by Israel on October 8, 2023, with American support, which left massive destruction affecting 90% of civilian infrastructure, with reconstruction costs estimated by the United Nations at about $70 billion.
