Liverpool coach Arne Slot admitted that he has not really enjoyed Premier League matches in recent seasons.
He believes the Premier League is now increasingly relying on physical strength and set pieces, making the game less enjoyable to watch, although still competitive.
"First of all, you have to accept it. I think that's especially true in the Premier League. If I watch other leagues, there's not as much emphasis on dead-ball situations," Slot said, as quoted by beIN Sports on Monday.
"Do I like it? My football heart doesn't. When I think about football, I remember Barcelona 10-15 years ago, where I always looked forward to it every week. Now, I can't enjoy most Premier League games, but they're still exciting because the competition is so intense."
Slot's comments came after Liverpool's emphatic 5-2 win over West Ham United last weekend.
