Bahrain GP and Saudi GP cancelled due to conflict in the Middle East

The FIA has officially cancelled the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix and Saudi Arabian Grand Prix due to the escalating conflict in the Middle East between the United States, Israel and Iran.

The cancellation of the two series scheduled to take place in April also includes a series of Formula 2, Formula 3, and F1 Academy events.

"While this is a difficult decision to take, it is unfortunately the right one at this stage given the current situation in the Middle East," said Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali in an official Formula 1 statement.
