Opta, the sports statistics network, has published its ranking of the teams that are candidates to win the UEFA Champions League title this season, after the conclusion of the round of 16 matches.
Eight clubs qualified for the quarter-finals: Liverpool, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Sporting Lisbon and Arsenal.
Opta's supercomputer has revealed its predictions for the winner of the 2025/26 Champions League, ranking English club Arsenal as the top contender for the title with a 29.73 percent chance of winning, followed by German club Bayern Munich in second place with a probability of 18.33 percent, and then Spanish club Barcelona in third place with a probability of 15.66 percent.
The first leg of the quarter-finals is scheduled to take place on April 7 and 8, with the return legs to be played on April 14 and 15. Arsenal, who qualified after beating Bayer Leverkusen 3-1 on aggregate under manager Mikel Arteta, will face Sporting Lisbon in a highly anticipated match.
