Children who are accustomed to relying on gadgets in their daily lives are at risk of showing excessive emotional reactions when their parents limit their use.
Not a few children have to cry until they sob when there is a prohibition on using gadgets, indicating a dependency that has started to form from an early age.
Child, Adolescent, and Educational Development Expert from the Faculty of Psychology at Gadjah Mada University, Novi Poespita Candra, when contacted said that activities involving physical activity could be a solution to reduce this dependency.
"Encourage children to engage in a variety of activities, from physical, artistic, social, to spiritual," he said.
