The Ministry of Communication and Digital has prepared an early warning system ( EWS ) and a 112 call center to support mitigation efforts during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday.
"We are also preparing EWS support, or the delivery of disaster information via SMS blasts and national digital TV broadcasts," said Wayan Toni Supriyanto, Director General of Digital Infrastructure at the Ministry of Communication and Digital, at the launch event for the telecommunications service monitoring task force during Eid al-Fitr.
EWS will provide notifications to residents via digital TV if a disaster occurs in their residential area.
Residents are advised to set up their digital TV service according to their postal code so that EWS can deliver notifications accurately.
