The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said early Sunday that its crews received four martyrs from a vehicle that was shot at by the Israeli occupation army in the town of Tammun, south of the city of Tubas.
The association stated that the martyrs were "a man, a woman, and two children," noting that the crews had previously received two other children from the vehicle who were unharmed, after the army had prevented them from reaching the site earlier.
Local sources in the town of Tammoun reported that the martyrs were: Ali Khaled Sayel Bani Odeh (37 years old), Waad Othman Aqel Bani Odeh (35 years old), and their two children, Muhammad (5 years old) and Othman (6 years old).
Palestinians circulated an audio recording of one of the two surviving children, in which he spoke about the Israeli occupation army firing on their vehicle in the town, noting that he and one of his brothers managed to hide, while his father, mother and two brothers were killed as a result of the shooting.
Eyewitnesses said that Israeli special forces stormed the town of Tammun and opened fire on a vehicle in the town center, noting that the army sent military reinforcements to the area and prevented citizens and ambulance crews from reaching the vehicle's location.
Earlier on Saturday, a young Palestinian man was killed and three others were wounded, two of them by live fire, in an attack by Israeli settlers on residents of the town of Qusra, south of the city of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced in a statement, "The young man, Amir Mutasim Mahmoud Odeh (28 years old), was martyred by settlers' bullets in Qusra, south of Nablus."
According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, settlers attacked the western area of the town of Qusra, "so the residents confronted them, and the settlers fired live ammunition towards the houses and the young men."
In a statement, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its crews dealt with four injuries, one of which was "very serious, with a live bullet in the chest of a young man," adding that the young man was shot by settlers and underwent cardiopulmonary resuscitation while being transported to the hospital, before his death was announced.
The association stated that the second injured person is a young man (23 years old) who was shot in the knee with live ammunition, while the third is a young man in his twenties who was shot in the thigh with live ammunition, and the fourth suffered bruises as a result of being assaulted by settlers.
This is the second time that injuries from settler gunfire have been recorded on Saturday, in addition to various attacks in different areas.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society had previously announced that its crews in the city of Bethlehem dealt with two injuries from live bullets in the lower extremities, as a result of an attack by settlers in the village of Kisan, east of the city.
This brings the number of Palestinian martyrs killed by settlers to 7 since the start of the war on Iran at the end of last February, according to data from the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
The number has risen to 1,132 since attacks by the occupation army and settlers on Palestinians in the West Bank escalated, coinciding with the start of the war on October 8, 2023. Around 11,700 have been injured, in addition to the arrest of around 22,000, according to official Palestinian data.
The attacks by the occupation army and settlers focus on sabotaging and demolishing homes and facilities, displacing Palestinians, and expanding settlements in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, which the international community considers occupied territory.
