Igor Tudor: Tottenham's priority is to stay in the Premier League, not the UCL
Tottenham Hotspur interim manager Igor Tudor has stressed that his team's top priority is to remain in the Premier League rather than their Champions League campaign this season.

Tottenham are scheduled to face Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie at Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium.

Despite calling the match a beautiful one, Tudor admitted his team's main focus remains on trying to move away from the relegation zone in the domestic competition.

"We have to say this openly, our main goal is to stay in the Premier League," Tudor said.

Spurs previously finished fourth in the 2025/26 Champions League season, qualifying directly for the round of 16.

The match against Atletico also marks Tottenham's return to the stadium where they played in the Champions League final less than seven years ago.

However, Tottenham's domestic situation is less than ideal. A winless run of 11 matches has left them just one point above the Premier League relegation zone.
