Iranian President's son denies rumors of injury to Mojtaba Khamenei
Government adviser and son of Iranian President, Yousef Pezeshkian,  denied rumors that Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei had been injured.

He inquired about Mojtaba Khamenei's health following reports that the Iranian supreme leader might have been injured, and received a response that the leader was in good health.

"I heard the news that Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba, was injured. I contacted friends and asked about it. Thank God, he is in good health without any problems," he was quoted as saying by the ISNA news agency.
Iranian state media reported that Mojtaba Khamenei officially succeeded his father, the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as Iran's new Supreme Leader.

The 56-year-old Khamenei becomes Iran's third Supreme Leader since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. He is expected to follow in his father's footsteps by maintaining a hardline stance against the United States.

The Supreme Leader of Iran is the supreme head of judicial, legislative, and administrative power in Iran. He also makes decisions on key matters in Iran, including the nuclear program.
