Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach Luis Enrique said his team will not play it safe and will continue to pursue victory in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the middle of next week
According to him, although his team won 5-2 in the first leg at Parc des Princess, Thursday morning WIB, various possibilities could still occur.
"The second leg? I have no doubt it will be a tight and difficult match, just like today. But we're not going to London to defend a result. Our mentality is to try to win the game, to attack, and to deserve to win the game," said Enrique, as quoted on PSG's official website.
Enrique firmly stated that if his team went into the second leg aiming for a draw or a maximum two-goal defeat, it could result in his team being eliminated at the end of the competition.
Les Parisiens have an advantage heading into the second leg because they haven't played a league match. The league match will be played after the two legs of the Round of 16, on March 22 against Nice.
