The Mercedes team is in talks to buy shares in Alpine Formula 1 owned by Otro Capital, which is the majority shareholder of Alpine F1.
"I'm still looking at the future and looking at all the possibilities. We haven't had any direct communication with Toto Wolff (Mercedes owner) at this point," Alpine F1 owner Flavio Briatore told.
Briatore said he was very happy that someone was trying to buy Alpine shares.
Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner is also rumored to be interested in buying a stake in Alpine F1.
