President Prabowo Subianto has ordered his cabinet to maintain the prices of basic necessities, including basic necessities, so they remain affordable for the public, and to ensure food stocks and distribution run smoothly, especially in the run-up to Eid al-Fitr.
Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya, when contacted in Jakarta, Tuesday (10/3) evening, explained that the order was given by President Prabowo to his staff in the Cabinet during a limited meeting at the Merdeka Palace.
"President Prabowo Subianto led a limited meeting with several ministers of the Red and White Cabinet on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Merdeka Palace, to discuss the government's preparedness for Eid al-Fitr. The meeting addressed the stability of supplies and prices of basic commodities, the smooth distribution of logistics, and the readiness of infrastructure and public services so that the public can celebrate Eid al-Fitr safely and comfortably," Cabinet Secretary Teddy said, explaining the meeting agenda at the Palace .
During the meeting, Teddy continued, the President emphasized the importance of cross-ministerial and institutional coordination in maintaining food availability, controlling the prices of basic necessities, and ensuring smooth distribution to various regions.
"The government is also focusing on the readiness of the energy and transportation sectors, as well as support from state-owned enterprises," said Cabinet Secretary Teddy, who also attended the meeting.
