British tennis player Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from the WTA 1000 Miami Open due to illness.
Raducanu, currently ranked 23rd in the world, received a first-round bye to advance directly to the second round, and is scheduled to play either compatriot Sonay Kartal or American Peyton Stearns.
The former US Open champion reached her second career WTA Tour final in Cluj-Napoca but couldn't build on that momentum in the rest of the Middle East tour, losing her first-round matches in Doha and Dubai.
