Ratcliffe is not in a rush to make Carrick's stay permanent

Manchester United has shown significant improvement in performance since Michael Carrick was appointed as interim manager to replace Ruben Amorim in January, but club co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is not willing to confirm Carrick's position as manager of MU next season.

"He's done a fantastic job. Obviously, we're thinking about that but there are still seven or eight games left," Ratcliffe told Sky Sports .

Carrick has led Manchester United to six wins from eight Premier League matches, helping the Red Devils climb to the top three.

When Carrick took charge of the team, United were in seventh place with 32 points.

However, entering March, Benjamin Sesko and his colleagues rose to third place with 51 points, below Arsenal and Manchester City.
