RFEF President: Finalissima could potentially be moved from Qatar to Europe
Plans to hold the 2026 Finalissima match between the Argentine and Spanish national teams could potentially be moved from Qatar to Europe.

Uncertainty arose after Qatar postponed all football tournaments and matches following rising tensions in the Middle East due to the United States and Israel's attacks on Iran.

Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) President Rafael Louzan said a decision on the match's location is expected to be made within the next 48 hours.

The match between the European champions and the Copa America champions was originally scheduled to take place on March 27 at the Lusail Stadium, Doha.

"It looks like it would be very difficult for the match to be played in Doha. We hope a decision will be made in the next 48 hours. It will most likely be moved to Europe, as the majority of the players are based there. That would be the most sensible solution," said Rafael Louzan
Louzan believes Europe is the most logical option if the match must be moved from Qatar. Most of the players from the Spanish and Argentinian national teams currently play for European clubs, making it easier logistically.
