Jannik Sinner put on a brilliant performance by defeating Learner Tien 6-1, 6-2 in the quarterfinals of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, Friday WIB, to meet Alexander Zverev in the semifinals of the ATP Masters 1000 event.
World number two Sinner, who beat Joao Fonseca in a two-set tie-break in the fourth round, refused to be drawn into another tight encounter, opting for an aggressive game that proved difficult for his 20-year-old opponent.
"I feel like the experience in this match definitely helps a little bit," said Sinner, who also beat Tien in straight sets in the Beijing final last October, as quoted by ATP.
