The cost of the US military operation against Iran exceeded $27 billion

The Iran War Cost Tracker website reported that the cost of the US military operation against Iran exceeded $27 billion.

The website provides a real-time calculation of the resources needed to cover the expenses of personnel, vessels transported to the area, and other associated costs.

Iranian forces announce new offensive tactics and threaten Israel with a "narrow and difficult" battlefield.
The methodology for this estimate is based on a report submitted by the US Department of War to Congress, which stated that the first six days of operations cost $11.3 billion, and that each subsequent day costs about $1 billion.

As Newsweek reported, the US military operation against Iran was initially more costly than the start of the 2003 invasion of Iraq. According to the magazine, the Pentagon asked Congress to allocate $200 billion to continue the campaign, an amount $67 billion more than what the George W. Bush administration had requested 23 years earlier.

The joint US-Israeli operation against Iran, which began on February 28, has continued with exchanges of strikes between the two sides. Tel Aviv has stated that its goal is to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons, while Washington has threatened to destroy Iran's military capabilities and called on Iranian citizens to overthrow the regime.

For its part, Iran confirmed that it is ready to defend itself, and that it currently sees no point in resuming negotiations.
