Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Nezar Patria appreciated the humanitarian initiative of the gala dinner committee formed by the Central Board of Special Olympics Indonesia in supporting the implementation of the 2nd National Special Olympics Week .
"This sporting event for athletes with special talents throughout Indonesia, planned to be held in October 2026 in Kupang, NTT, is also a form of sincere appreciation for our brothers and sisters with autism, Down syndrome , intellectual disabilities, ADHD, and others in achieving physical health achievements," said Nezar in a statement confirmed.
Nezar made this statement while receiving a friendly meeting from the committee at his residence in Yogyakarta. During the meeting, Nezar also accepted the committee's request to serve on the steering committee to support the smooth running of the event.
