The Indonesian national futsal team is in Group B of the 2026 ASEAN Futsal Championship, which will be held in Thailand for the fifth consecutive year, according to the Indonesian national futsal team's Instagram account.
In Group B, Indonesia is in the same group as Australia, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Brunei Darussalam.
In the other group, Group A, Thailand, who have won this tournament 16 times, will fight to become champions on home soil against Vietnam, Myanmar, and Timor Leste.
From these two groups, only the top two teams will advance to the semifinals, with the winners of the semifinals advancing to the final, while the losers play a third-place match.
The 19th edition of the tournament will be played centrally at Nonthaburi Hall, Thailand, scheduled to take place from April 5-11.
Indonesia entered this tournament as the defending champions, having defeated Vietnam 2-0 in the final in Thailand two years ago. Prior to defeating Vietnam, Indonesia had previously defeated host Thailand 5-1 in the semifinals.
The trophy two years ago was Indonesia's second in this tournament, having previously won it in 2010 in Vietnam. The Garuda team thrashed Malaysia 5-0 in the final.
