WhatsApp, the instant messaging app owned by Meta, has officially released a new feature, namely "Parent-Managed Accounts" to maintain the safety of children under 13 years old in the digital space.
This feature brings new controls to limit their WhatsApp experience to messaging and calling.
"We're responding to clear feedback from parents that they want a more private, practical, and controlled way to communicate with their younger children and guide their experiences online , " WhatsApp said in a statement about the new feature.
To take advantage of this feature, parents need a device purchased for their family member and their own device to link their accounts.
