Xiaomi is likely to launch its latest flagship phone, the Xiaomi 18 Ultra, earlier than expected this year.
Reported by Gizmochina on Monday, according to information from tech leaker Smart Pikachu, instead of debuting at the beginning of the year like the previous Ultra model, the Xiaomi 18 Ultra will launch in China at the end of the year.
The leak also suggests that Xiaomi is testing a quad-camera setup for the Xiaomi 18 Ultra. This would be a departure from the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which ditched the conventional quad-camera setup and instead introduced a mechanical zoom solution.
If this leak is accurate, Xiaomi will likely return to a quad-lens configuration to offer more focal length options while increasing the overall flexibility of its camera system.
