Indonesian Women's National Field Hockey Team coach Dharma Raj said his team is now focused on defeating Sri Lanka in their next match after defeating Kazakhstan in the 2026 Asian Games Qualification Championship.
"We have to forget about this match against Kazakhstan. We've already secured three points, so our focus must immediately shift to Sri Lanka," Dharma Raj told the media after the match in Senayan.
Indonesia started their campaign with a brilliant result after defeating Kazakhstan 2-1 in Group B, which also included Sri Lanka and Singapore.
Dharma Raj said the victory over Kazakhstan was a very important result because the opponent was considered a strong team in the Asian region.
According to him, Kazakhstan is a team that has consistently performed in qualifying events and often competes at the top of the table, so this victory is a valuable achievement for Indonesia.
