A young British woman who started smoking e-cigarettes at the age of 15 has been diagnosed with stage three lung cancer.

Doctors point out that her health condition is very similar to that suffered by people in their eighties.

It should be noted that this young woman, named Kylie Budd, is 22 years old, and doctors diagnosed her with cancer last year, informing her that her average life expectancy is no more than 18 months.

Kylie lives in Manchester and was vaping at a rate of approximately 600 puffs per week. In January 2025, she began experiencing a cough accompanied by brown phlegm containing "granular particles"

"I believe the cancer is linked to e-cigarettes, because my symptoms appeared several months after I started using single-use e-cigarettes."
