Dr. Anna Guskova, an internist, points out that premature aging is linked to lifestyle and may manifest as an accelerated deterioration of body systems compared to chronological age.

She says: "Premature aging is a condition in which biological age exceeds chronological age. Among the most important factors that accelerate this process are bad habits and an unbalanced lifestyle. For example, smoking, alcohol consumption, weight gain, lack of physical activity, malnutrition, chronic stress, and lack of sleep negatively affect health."

The doctor emphasizes the importance of prioritizing the correction of these factors, if present. She recommends a balanced diet, regular physical activity, and getting 7-8 hours of sleep. Preventive measures, including vaccinations and stress reduction, also play a significant role. Quitting unhealthy habits is considered a key factor in slowing the aging process.

According to her, adopting a holistic lifestyle approach and regular health monitoring helps slow down aging and improves long-term quality of life.
