Chelsea dropped from sixth place after losing 0-3 to Brighton

Chelsea dropped from sixth place after suffering another defeat in Week 34 of the 2025/26 Premier League, losing 0-3 to Brighton & Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium early Wednesday morning WIB.

The hosts took an early lead through Ferdi Kadioglu, then added two more goals in the second half through Jack Hinshelwood and Danny Welbeck.

The additional three points moved Brighton up to sixth place in the standings with 50 points, displacing Chelsea who dropped to seventh place with a collection of 58 points, as reported by the English Premier League.

Playing in front of their home crowd, Brighton immediately put on the pressure from the start. The result was immediate, as a corner kick led to Kadioglu's goal in the third minute.

His low shot hit a Chelsea defender before going into Robert Sanchez's goal.

Brighton continued to dominate the game. In the 15th minute, Jan Paul van Hecke almost doubled the lead with a header, but Sanchez saved it.

Chelsea struggled to escape the pressure and failed to create any meaningful chances until the first half ended with a score of 1-0.
