Duran added in a post on the Turkish platform "In Social" on Tuesday: "The genocidal government of (Israeli Prime Minister) Benjamin Netanyahu has made a habit of creating tension through holy sites, and has blatantly disregarded international law and common human values."
He pointed out that Israel's approach is "a deliberate attempt to escalate tensions in the region," calling on the international community not to remain silent "in the face of this recklessness."
Duran stressed the need to open the Al-Aqsa Mosque immediately and unconditionally to Muslim worship, to put an end to provocations, and to terminate the illegal restrictions that impede freedom of worship in all holy places in Jerusalem.
He added: "Turkey, under the leadership of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will continue to demonstrate the clearest stance against this dark mentality that targets holy sites, defend truth and justice, and stand firmly by our Palestinian brothers."
On Monday evening, Ben-Gvir stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque, coinciding with the Israeli authorities continuing to close Al-Aqsa for the 38th consecutive day, under the pretext of the "state of emergency" declared since the start of the American-Israeli attack on Iran on February 28.
