The fast track in Horsens demands adaptation from the Indonesian Thomas-Uber team

The Indonesian badminton team immediately faced technical challenges during an official training session at the Horsens Forum, Denmark, ahead of the 2026 Thomas & Uber Cup, on Wednesday, with the shuttlecock's tendency to travel fast.

In limited training time, the players prioritized adapting to the speed of the ball and the arena conditions which were considered different compared to most international tournaments.

"We only tried out the court briefly today, but we immediately felt the ball was a bit tighter. That's something we need to adapt to quickly," said Indonesian women's doubles player Rachel Allessya Rose in an official statement from the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) received in Jakarta on Wednesday.

His partner, Febi Setianingrum, added that lighting and wind direction factors were not significant obstacles during the training session.

"From the field it was normal, there was no glare and there wasn't much wind either," said Febi.
