The "Men Tell Stories" campaign marks the opening week of the 2026 University League

The "Men Tell Stories" campaign marked the start of the opening week of the 2026 Jakarta Regional University League inter-university football competition at the Muhammadiyah University of  (UMJ) Stadium and the University of Indonesia (UI) Stadium, which concluded .

“Lelaki Bercerita” is a user-generated content (UGC) movement that invites men, especially students and football players, to share how they express their emotions healthily, seek support, and find solutions without shame and stigma.

According to the official statement from the 2026 University League on Wednesday, this campaign stems from a deep belief that the football field is not just a competitive arena; it is a space where trust is built, solidarity is tested, and courage is demonstrated not only in skill but also in being true to oneself.

Through this campaign, the University League wants to prove that men who dare to tell their stories are not weak men, but men who are strong enough to be honest.

The goal is to build a safe space where men feel free to share their emotional experiences, using sports as a bridge, while inspiring millions of young Indonesians to see mental health not as a weakness, but as a strength.

In the opening week, goals poured in in two of the three matches played. First, UMJ defeated Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University 8-0 at UMJ Stadium on Saturday, and second,  State University (UNJ) defeated UI at UI Stadium on Monday, scoring seven goals to nil.
