The Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs emphasized the role of mothers in the success of PP Tunas on Kartini Day

Minister of Communication and Digital  Meutya Hafid emphasized the importance of mothers' role at home in keeping their children safe in the digital space in line with the implementation of Government Regulation (PP) Number 17 of 2025 concerning Governance of Electronic System Implementation in Child Protection.

In addition to focusing on the responsibility of digital platforms to provide secure systems, PP Tunas also highlights the role of mothers as the frontline in protecting families in the digital space.

"This safeguarding effort is closely tied to the role of mothers in safeguarding their families. Protecting means ensuring that children and families are protected," said Meutya at the Kartini Day Commemoration Ceremony at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Office.

Meutya said women, especially mothers, are encouraged to become advocates for child protection in their respective communities, including by providing alternative activities outside the digital space

One strength that can be leveraged in presenting these alternative activities is local Indonesian culture, which is a crucial asset in safeguarding children in the digital age. This culture encompasses the habit of living together and social interaction within the local community.
