Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid stated that the Directorate General of Digital Space Supervision of the Ministry of Communication and Digital will hold a special meeting with representatives of the Wikimedia Foundation to discuss platform compliance regarding the registration of Electronic System Organizers (PSE).
"Regarding Wikimedia, there will be a meeting tomorrow. A summons will be issued tomorrow. We will provide an update later," said Meutya at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Office on Wednesday.
The Wikimedia Foundation previously received an ultimatum from the Ministry of Communication and Digital Technology after it was found not to have fulfilled the registration requirements for private PSE in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Since late 2025, the Indonesian government has requested the Wikimedia Foundation to comply with the PSE registration requirements, and the digital platform with global reach has even been granted a grace period until early April 2026.
