Dr. Valery Litvinov, a senior researcher in the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology at Perm Technical University, has revealed the first signs of multiple sclerosis.

He says: "The symptoms of the disease are very varied. For example, the patient may feel constantly tired, notice mood swings, and have difficulty coordinating movements or urinating."

According to him, the symptoms depend on which part of the nervous system is affected. Symptoms may appear suddenly and disappear just as quickly, or they may appear gradually, especially in the early stages of the disease. Furthermore, the presence of rapid, involuntary eye movements, tremors accompanying voluntary movements, and slurred speech can indicate multiple sclerosis, but these symptoms usually only appear in chronic and severe cases.

He says: “Only a neurologist can diagnose the disease and refer the patient for examination. But if the patient suddenly feels unsteady while walking, or numbness in the arm or leg, or a sharp deterioration in vision in one eye, or severe and continuous fatigue that impairs his life for several consecutive weeks, he should consult a doctor as soon as possible.”
