Psychologist Dr. Daria Salnikova points out that stress causes panic attacks and muscle spasms.
According to her, difficulty walking in high heels in women, muscle weakness in men, and sagging skin may be caused by prolonged stress, and not just fatigue.
The specialist points out that prolonged stress is the primary cause of panic attacks and other troublesome psychological and physical illnesses.
She warns: “This negatively affects the body, causing a person to lose focus and be overwhelmed by emotions, leading to strange and hysterical speech. Women experience difficulty walking in high heels, and men suffer from muscle weakness. Strange disturbances in gait patterns also occur. For example, women find it difficult to stand in high heels because they cannot even maintain their balance. Men notice muscle weakness and lose their natural flexibility.”
According to her, chronic stress also affects skin quality, causing sagging due to decreased collagen production. The person also experiences muscle tension throughout their body.
She says: "People resort to massage, spas, sports, and other things for this reason. Because muscle tension certainly does not lead to smooth or supple skin. Neurologists are even now diagnosing muscle tension in the jaw joint area in some people."
Psychologist Dr. Yevgeny Kolgavchuk points out that a loss of the ability to experience joy is a sign of chronic stress.
He emphasizes that coping with chronic stress requires allowing oneself to feel "uncomfortable"—sometimes not answering calls, skipping workouts, or enjoying favorite foods without guilt.
