Electronics company iQOO is reportedly developing a new mobile phone product with a 9,000mAh battery capacity.
According to GSM Arena news GSM Association's International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) data shows the presence of a cellphone product with the model number I2601 which is estimated to be the iQOO 16, the successor to the iQOO 16.
The official launch date for the iQOO 16 has not been announced yet, but the device is expected to arrive as early as September 2026, after Qualcomm released the next-generation high-end chipset that it is said will be used in the device.
The iQOO 16 phone will reportedly be marketed in China, India, and several other countries.
According to previously leaked information, this cellphone, which will be equipped with a jumbo 9,000mAh battery, will be marketed at a higher price than its predecessor.
In China, the iQOO 16 is predicted to be sold at a starting price of 5,000 yuan or around Rp. 13 million for the variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
For comparison, the iQOO 15 when it debuted in October last year was sold at a starting price of 4,100 yuan or around Rp. 10.6 million.
