Aprilia Racing racer Jorge Martin was impressed by his victory in the French MotoGP which took place at the Le Mans Circuit.
Martin felt this victory was very special because he thought the character of the Le Mans circuit was very difficult for him.
"I've always struggled at this circuit, so to be on the podium here after missing out last year is incredible," said Jorge Martin, as quoted by the Aprilia Racing website on Monday.
This victory was particularly memorable for the rider nicknamed "Martinator," as the Spanish rider had struggled with injuries the previous season.
This victory also ended Martin's 588-day winless streak.
"I'm really happy and very grateful to Aprilia. I gave it my all, and that makes me very proud," said Martin.
Success at Le Mans was also the key to Martin's return to the world title race.
The 2024 world champion now faces competition from his own teammate Marco Bezzecchi.
