Lebanon: Bodies recovered from the rubble near Tyre after yesterday's

Rescue operations continue in southern Lebanon, particularly near Tyre, where authorities and residents are still searching for survivors after airstrikes hit several areas of the region. Footage from the scene shows rescue workers sifting through the rubble of destroyed buildings, while residents inspect the damage, search for missing relatives, and try to salvage personal belongings from the debris. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least 31 people were killed on Tuesday, May 26, in Israeli airstrikes, despite the ceasefire intended to limit clashes between Israel and Hezbollah. Local officials are warning of the risk of further population displacement and worsening damage to civilian infrastructure. Israel says it is intensifying its military operations in southern Lebanon. For its part, Hezbollah announced clashes with Israeli troops north of the Litani River on Wednesday. In a statement, the Iranian-backed movement claims its fighters are clashing with Israeli forces in the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, near an area where Israeli soldiers are deployed. This latest outbreak of violence has reignited fears of a wider confrontation along the border after several months of intermittent exchanges of fire.
