Malut United coach Hendri Susilo emphasized that his team is not afraid to face Borneo FC despite losing many players in week 34 of the BRI Super League at Segiri Stadium, Samarinda.
Quoted from the club's official website, Saturday, Hendri explained that Malut United brought 16 players to Samarinda because several players had to be absent for various reasons.
According to him, despite only having 16 players, Hendri ensured that all Malut United players he brought were ready to give their best to achieve maximum results.
"We brought 16 players to Samarinda because several were injured and had accumulated suspensions. Despite this, team preparations are still going well, and all the players we brought are ready to play," said Hendri.
During their visit to Samarinda, Malut United were without several key players, including Yakob Sayuri, Yance Sayuri, Lucas Cardoso, and Wbeymar Angulo, who were absent due to accumulated cards.
Additionally, Alan Jose and Tyronne del Pino are still struggling with injuries. Ciro Alves is also experiencing health issues, and Igor Inocencio is absent from the team due to family matters.
Regarding the match against Borneo FC, Hendri confirmed that Malut United will not play defensively and wants David da Silva and his colleagues to be able to steal points from Samarinda.
"The players' situation is conducive, and everyone here is in good health. We're here with the goal of stealing points at Borneo FC's home ground," he said.
Malut United is currently in fifth place in the Super League standings with 53 points from 33 matches, just two points behind Persebaya Surabaya.
