A multi-talented star, Tiwa Savage is a leading figure in Nigeria's thriving music scene.

So my legacy is to create this foundation, to be its founder, but many years from now, when I'm gone, I pray that a beneficiary of this foundation will be the next Michael Jackson, the next Quincy Jones, the next Wizkid... ⁇ , said Tiwa Savage.

Tiwa Savage brought together 100 young budding artists — selected from 2,000 applications— for instrumental workshops, singing lessons and masterclasses on the workings of the music industry.

"I would just like to be the link, the relay, someone capable of connecting the Berklee College of Music and other institutions with Nigerian or African talent. The problem is not lack of talent or gift. The problem is access. Access to education, to musical education in particular. ", added nigerian star.

Tiwa Savage joined forces with the prestigious Berklee College of Music in the United States, where she studied around twenty years ago.

"You can have a great song, but you need a great producer, a great radio promoter, you see, a great marketing manager to get the song out to the rest of the world. So that’s what this foundation does. She just gives them the tools. They already have the talent... ⁇ , explained the artist.

"It’s been a really great opportunity. Of course, meeting the Berklee team, which is really excellent, they are professionals and at every moment, at every turn, there is always something to learn, so it's really exciting, it's really spontaneous, and it's stimulating... ⁇ , confided student and singer of the group constitutes the first promotion of the musical foundation newly created by the artist.

Born in Lagos, Tiwa Savage grew up partly in Britain, she is today one of the most influential female voices in afrobeat.
