DJI is reportedly preparing the latest Osmo Pocket 4P gimbal camera which will be available globally with a new focus on zoom capabilities and shooting flexibility.
Reporting from the device, also known as the Pocket 4 Pro, retains the 1-inch main sensor from the standard Osmo Pocket 4, but is now equipped with an additional telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
The presence of the telephoto camera is a major change for the Pocket line, which previously only relied on one wide-angle lens.
In previous generations, users had to rely on digital zoom or image cropping to take close-up portraits or cinematic videos with tighter framing.
Based on early leaks from China, the telephoto camera is said to have a 70mm equivalent focal length with a sensor measuring around 1/1.5 inches.
The device is also said to support “lossless” zoom up to 6x and a maximum zoom of up to 12x.
