Tottenham failed to move away from the relegation zone after being held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds

Tottenham Hotspur failed to move away from the relegation zone after being held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds United in the 36th week of the 2025/26 Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London on Monday (11/5) local time or early Tuesday morning WIB.

Mathys Tel's goal gave the hosts the lead before Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalized with a penalty.

This result means Spurs are not yet safe from relegation. Roberto De Zerbi's team remains stuck in 17th place in the Premier League standings with 38 points, just two points ahead of West Ham United, who are in the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Leeds United is in 14th place with 44 points, as reported by the official English Premier League website.

Leeds were more effective from the start and troubled the home defense several times. The first chance came in the 21st minute through Joe Rodon's header, but Spurs goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky was able to save the ball.

Tottenham only began to attack after the half-hour mark. Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur posed a threat, but Leeds' backline was disciplined in defending.

The score remained goalless until the end of the first half.
