The English Premier League has reached its peak as it enters the decisive stages, with Arsenal and Manchester City vying for the title in a race wide open

While the Gunners are seeking to win a long-awaited title (since 2004), the Citizens are aiming for a domestic treble after winning the League Cup and qualifying for the FA Cup final.

Arsenal strengthened their position at the top of the table, at least theoretically, after their win against Fulham on Saturday in the 35th round of matches, raising the points difference to a full 6 points ahead of Manchester City, who have a game in hand.

The equation could completely turn in favor of Manchester City if they win their next two matches, the first away against Everton on Monday in the 35th round, and the second at home against Brentford on May 9th, which would enable them to temporarily top the table before Arsenal return to complete their matches, leaving the title race open to all possibilities and governed by the smallest details until the last breaths of the season.

Here are Arsenal's three remaining league matches:

May 10: Against West Ham United away from home.

May 18: Against Burnley at the Emirates Stadium in London.

May 24: Against Crystal Palace away from home.

As for Manchester City, they have five league matches remaining, which are as follows:

May 4: Against Everton away from home.

May 9: Against Brentford at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.

May 13: Against Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium.

May 19: Against Bournemouth away from home.

May 24: Against Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium.

If both teams win all of their remaining league matches, they will be tied on points.

In this case, the winner of the title is determined according to the following criteria, in this order:

Goal difference

- Number of goals scored

Points earned in head-to-head matches

Goals scored away from home in head-to-head matches

- Decisive match

Currently, with three games remaining, Arsenal has a goal difference of +41, compared to +37 for City, who still have five games to play.
