The Czech Republic and South Africa fielded their best squads when they faced each other in their second Group A match of the 2026 World Cup at Atlanta Stadium, United States, on Thursday.
Both teams are hunting for their first three points after failing to get full points in the opening match.
The Czech Republic relies on the duo of Adam Hlozek and Patrik Schick up front. Matej Kovar is entrusted with guarding the goal, while Tomas Holes, Robin Hranac, Vladimir Coufal, and captain Ladislav Krejci will be the mainstays of the defense.
In midfield, the Czech Republic coach deployed a combination of experienced players Vladimir Darida with Lukas Cerv, Michal Sadilek, and Alexandr Sojka to control the rhythm of the game and supply the ball to the attack line.
Meanwhile, South Africa will continue to rely on captain Ronwen Williams in goal. Bafana Bafana's defense will consist of Aubrey Modiba, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Khuliso Mudau, and Ime Okon.
